Timothy M. Brouse, P.E.
Mr. Brouse is the founder of Alta Design Associates, Inc., where he has served as President since 1998. Mr. Brouse has worked in the construction industry since 1986. His areas of expertise include Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Consulting, Construction Inspection, and Scheduling. Mr. Brouse has provided engineering and/or consulting services on projects including residential housing, recreational structures, swimming pool projects, high-rise structures, hospital facilities, dams, waterways, interstate roadways, bridges, and oil-refining facilities.
During an internship, Mr. Brouse worked as a Geotechnical Engineer for SITE-Blauvelt Engineer, Inc. He was also a Construction Inspector and Field Engineer at one time, and his services have been utilized by firms such as Trauner Consulting Services, Associated Engineering Consultants, and Capital Project Management, Inc. Mr. Brouse is well-versed in soils, exploratory drilling, foundation systems, structural geology, geophysical explorations, waterways, flood studies, on-water and underwater operations, pre-stressed concrete, post-tensioned concrete, cast-in-place concrete, asphaltic concrete, masonry, structural systems, wood construction, drainage systems, piping systems, scheduling, and construction claims.
Mr. Brouse also has worked as a Special Inspector on construction projects in the City of Philadelphia, and he is the Chairman of the Dam Committee that is in charge of the repair and maintenance of the 100-foot-tall earth dam at Lake Wynonah, PA.
Mr. Brouse is a graduate of Drexel University where he received Bachelor of Science degrees in Architectural Engineering and Civil Engineering, and he is a member of Chi Epsilon, the Civil Engineering Honors Fraternity. He ranked seventh in a class of fifty-five graduating architectural engineers, while rowing for the Drexel University Crew as a varsity letterman. As an undergraduate, Mr. Brouse worked as a lifeguard and water safety instructor, and was a competitive swimmer. He still remains an avid water and snow skier.
Mr. Brouse is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, and New York.
