Alta’s services extend beyond the design and approval of your project. We can also provide Construction Inspection & Testing services for all phases of your project, so that you can rest easy knowing that your project is progressing on-schedule, safely, and in accordance with all approved design plans.
Our Construction Inspection & Testing Services include:
- subgrade inspection through proof-rolling observation and bearing capacity testing and inspection;
- observation and testing of structural fill as it is placed, including compaction/density and water content testing;
- inspection of subgrade repair operations, including undercutting/removal of unsuitable soils, placement of flowable fill, deep dynamic compaction, pressure-grouting, etc.;
- reinforcing steel inspection;
- concrete placement observation and testing, including slump testing and preparation of concrete cylinders for laboratory strength testing;
- observation and inspection of the installation of stormwater management facilities;
- observation and inspection of construction of segmental, reinforced concrete, and CMU retaining walls;
- observation and inspection of deep foundation installations, including concrete piers, steel piles, timber piles, and helical piers; and
- any as-needed supervision and consultation during construction.
