Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) & Fire Alarm
Alta can see to all of your Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) and Fire Alarm system design and engineering needs in conjunction with any Architectural Design, Structural Engineering, or Civil Engineering & Land Development project, or as a separate stand-alone project.
MEP and Fire Alarm Design can be described as follows:
M – Mechanical: This aspect of MEP involves the design of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems for buildings.
E – Electrical: This aspect of MEP involves the design of the systems that provide power to a building, or any other source or structure. This includes the layout and design of wiring, lighting, switches, power outlets, and electrical supply panels.
P – Plumbing: This aspect of MEP involves the design of water and sanitation systems of a building. This includes water-supply piping to and sanitary sewer piping from all sinks, showers, tubs, and toilets in a building. It also includes the design of indoor fire-protection sprinkler systems.
Fire Alarm system design is often lumped in with MEP design. A Fire Alarm system is a network of visual and audio devices and signals that are designed to alert people of fire, smoke, or carbon dioxide, as well as the locations of emergency exits.
